A wing (no flap) with a symmetric airfoil cross-section is constructed using aluminum (E = 10 x 10ā¶ lb/in²) stringers and a thin skin. Five large square stringers (A = 0.4 in², I = 0.013 inā“) and two small square stringers (A= 0.20 in², I = 0.003 inā“) are used in the wing construction.
