Area of a parallelogram is just base * height.
12 and 1/2 becomes 25/2
17 and 1/5 becomes 85/5
Now we multiply.
[tex] \frac{25}{2} ( \frac{86}{5} ) = \frac{2150}{10} = 215 [/tex]
