The lab within the hospital usally draws blood and takes urine samples to test for illness or other chemical inbalances. The lab technician would be the one helping to administer the tests and then get them ready and sent for results. The lab in a hospital keeps track of those coming in and out to have testing done and then it is sent to the patients doctor for review.
