Tracy's swimming pool requires 3 quarts of bacteria-cleaning agent 5 times a month. How many gallons of this agent will Tracy use during June,July,and August?

5 times a month for 3 months 5 x 3 = 15
15 x 3 = 45
1 quart = .25 gallons 
45 quarts =11.25 gallons

Okay, so 4 quarts are in a gallon right? each month she uses 15 quarts because 3 x 5 = 15. Multiply that by 3 for the three month time span and you get 45. like I said, there's 4 quarts in a gallon.. Divide 45 by 4 and you get 11.25 roughly. there you go. Hope this helped
