Differences have emerged because of a lack of similar reality, with each generation society changes as does the individual.

Answer:

Yes because different time periods are a big impact on political beliefs. For example people during the Great Depression are known to strongly identify as liberals. I believe that the differences have emerged due to growing up in different times with different leaders and different situations.
