What is the uppermost layer of the atmosphere why does it feel cold there even though the temperatures can be very high

All I can answer is up there is cold because as much as u get higher it will get colder
The Thermosphere/Exosphere is the uppermost layer of the atmosphere. The temperature is cold to humans because the higher you get in the atmosphere the less air there is.
