x+2 is the second odd integer
we can tell that x will be negative
x+x+2=-28
2x+2=-28
subtract 2 from both sides
2x=-30
divide both sides by 2
x=-15
x+2=-15+2=-13
-13-15=-28

the numbers are -13 and -15
