Kai and his family live at an elephant sanctuary in Africa. They work hard to protect elephants from poachers who selfishly hunt and kill the elephants for their ivory tusks. On a scorching hot afternoon, Kai finds out another elephant has been killed, he tells his dad he is heartbroken. Leaving Kai behind, Kai's dad starts to do a routine check around the perimeter of the sanctuary. An enormous storm was about to hit and cause a tree to fall.
