vb = speed of ball before collision (vb = 0)

v' = speed of cart and ball after collision

mc . vc + mb . vb = (mc + mb) . v'

(1.5)(1.7) + mb(0) = (1.5 + mb) . 1.53

2.55 + 0 = (1.5 + mb) . 1.53

2.55/1.53 = 1.5 + mb

5/3 = 3/2 + mb ( I change it to fraction)

mb = 5/3 - 3/2 = 10/6 - 9/6 = 1/6 kg

mb = 1/6 kg = 0.17 kg
