because some of the interstitial fluid that leaks from the lymphatic vessels is picked up by the capillaries. The interstitial fluid that leaks from the lymphatic vessels may cause osmotic pressure which is why it is usually picked up by the capillaries. The capillaries then return them to the blood so that they can be redistributed to the cells.
