P = F/A

Where,

F= Force

A = Area

Given that;

d= 0.987 cm =0.987  x 10^-2 m

m= 45.5 kg

Area = πr^2= (π(0.987  x 10^-2)^2/2)

       =7.6511 x 10^-5  square meter

Force= mg

        = 45.5 x 9.8

        =445.9 N

Pressure = force/ area

              =445.9/7.6511 x 10^-5

              =5.8279 MPa

The pressure she exerts on the carpet sample:-5.8279 MPa
