New York road runners last year introduced a new category for non-binary runners. Sixteen non-binary runners finished last year’s New York marathon.
Non-binary runners are the people who don't include themselves into the gender categories of men and women. Now the participants of 2023 Boston Marathon and the 2023 TCS London Marathon will have the option to participate into the marathon as male, female or non-binary. Boston Marathon and London Marathon have already added the non-binary gender option, such as the New York Marathon.
The sports organization around the globe are asking for more gender inclusion and they have transformed their policies regarding transgender and non-binary people.
