Measure the temperature of the patient with a thermometer. Measure the blood pressure with a sphygmomanometer and a stethoscope or use an automatic blood pressure cuff. Measure heart rate with a watch to get the beats per minute. Measure respiratory rate with a watch counting the breaths per minute.
