This is true. There are 150 countries where GDP is measured and the cost of alcohol related collisions is greater than the GDP for 119 of them. But this is not only because of the amount of money involved in alcohol collisions, the fact that half of the world has problematic economies is also in effect. Anyhow, the amount of money is still staggering.
