−10x+1+7x=37
Simplify both sides of the equation.
−10x+1+7x=37
Simplify:
−10x+1+7x=37
(−10x+7x)+(1)=37(Combine Like Terms)
−3x+1=37
−3x+1=37
Subtract 1 from both sides.
−3x+1−1=37−1
−3x=36
Divide both sides by -3.
−3x/−3 = 36/−3
x=−12
