What determines the tone when writing ?
A. the number of pages the writer has to write
B. The people the writer is trying to reach
C. the mood the writer is in while writing
D. the style of clothing the writer likes to wear
The tone would be determined by the kind of people the author is writing for. A story for children is going to have a different tone than a graduate thesis even if they are on the same topic.
