If you would like to calculate
7/12 + 5/6
, you can do this using the following steps:
7/12 + 5/6 = 7/12 + 10/12 = (7 + 10)/12 = 17/12 = 1 5/12
The correct result would be

7/12 +5/6=
5/6=2 x5=10 and 2x6=12 so now you have 5/6 = 10/12 + 7/12 now just add 10 and 7 and you will have 17/12 now you need to divide 12 in 17 to get your answer of
1 and 5/12 hope this helps :)
