Charlene has learned national history. Even though Charlene's family did not immigrate to the Unites States until the late 1800s that did not prevent her from learning about United States history at school or through reading books. Abraham Lincoln is an important figure in not just U.S. history but world history, so it it not impossible for Charlene to know about him.
