height of DEF = H = 10m
Since they are similar, their bases must be in the same proportion: base of ABC = b = 6/10B = 3/5B
Since a = 1/2 bh = 1/2 (3/5B)(6) = 9/5B
A = 1/2 BH = 1/2 (B)(10) = 5B
So ratio of a:A = 9/5B:5B = 9/5:25/5 = 9:25
